David Kalec

David Kalec - Head Coach

David Kalec was in the sport of diving for 14 years and has represented Canada in several international competitions. He finished off his career at Texas A&M University, where he had received a full scholarship for his diving. Once retired, David was looking for something to fill the gap of working out with team mates in an atmosphere that pushes you to your limit, producing results. Working out at traditional gyms, even with friends, simply didn’t have that same friendly competition that drives you to perform. After trying CrossFit in 2008, David instantly fell in love with this style of workout and the atmosphere you work out in. The concept is truly amazing and no where else can you find a program that builds your strength so quickly and keeps you in the best shape possible. And as all workouts are scaleable to everyone’s needs, sometimes that even means being beat by a 65 year old lady ! In the summer of 2009, David visited his old team at Texas A&M University and surprised everyone (himself included) when he performed his old dives on 10 meter better than he used to, 4 years prior.
